The Dog Detectives and the Canine Partners Event!

On 15th September the Dog Detectives authors cycled their way to the Canine Partner’s HQ at Heyshott.

Poco Loco with some of the Canine Partners

We had two schools attending the event, Manor Green School all the way from Crawley and Conifers School from Midhurst.  They were treated to a presentation by Fin and Zoa, showing how having the dogs effect their travels.  The Fin read from Lost in London and then they finished by all the children giving Jack and Paco a stroke.

Then afterwards there was a display by the Canine Partners, whose charity assists disabled people to enjoy greater independence and a better quality of life through the help of specially trained dogs.

The display saw dogs taking out the washing, giving money to cashiers and carrying their owners purse.  It was a very informative demonstration and showed how important these dogs are to their owners.
