South African children’s publisher Fantasi Books has sent us the covers for the first four Early Readers (or Eerste Leesboeke in Afrikaans!) which they are publishing in Afrikaans as part of a forty title Early Readers deal. Don’t they look splendid? We look forward to seeing the next four in production soon!

Maverick titles were on display on the busy PIM stand with Chris Ashdown at the recent Beijing International Book Fair. Chris and and our China agent Rance Fu met with customers keen to import our books. Â We are delighted that interest in our picture books and Early Readers continues to grow in China and beyond!
Hedgehugs was published yesterday in North America by Macmillan US imprint, Henry Holt. The company bought the rights to both the first and second books in the Hedgehugs series and we’re expecting to see Horace and Hattiepillar published at some point in 2016.
