“The fun writing in Not Enough For Queen Fluff, combined with the gorgeously detailed illustrations by Catalina Echeverri, make this a real jewel of a picture book, to be read many times over. Be sure to look out for the cheeky frog on the final spread — it always makes us smile!”

You know, I hadn’t actually spotted the frog yet! That’s the fun of Catalina Echeverri‘s illustrations, always something new to see on every reading.

Thanks for the lovely review Kerry!

“This book is sure to be a real crowd-pleaser in your burrow too!”

Regina and Dolly who write for Diapers and Daydreams over in the United States have reviewed our royal, rhyming book, Not Enough for Queen Fluff.

The rhyming text from Rachel Lyon rolls off the tongue, and is filled with so many funnies there will be sure to be plenty of giggles! (“There were toads on the table and fleas at my feet and for dinner they offered me bug broth to eat!”) The rhyme is mixed with incredibly hilarious illustrations from Catalina Echeverri, One of Dolly’s favorite parts, both read and drawn is, of course, the rat wearing only his underpants (so, for the record, pandering to the audience really worked! haha!) This book is sure to be a real crowd-pleaser in your burrow too!

Thanks for the lovely review!

Not Enough for Queen Fluff

“This new rhyming extravaganza, brought to life by Catalina Echeverri’s gloriously detailed and characterful illustrations, sees the born ‘poetess’ on top form […] Lyon works her trademark magic in a story bursting with rhyme, some sound common sense and plenty of giggles as the bunnies fill their burrows with nasty nettles, prickly thistles, stinging bees and wriggly worms to deter their fanciful queen from staying the night.”

George and the New Craze

Alice Hemming, who is passionate about picture books, plays a winning card in this gentle but fun story with a surprise twist in the tail, while illustrator. Kimberley Scott turns the menagerie of animals into quirky, lovable little characters. Perfect bedtime reading…”

Queen Fluff or Marie Antoinette? Review for Not Enough for Queen Fluff.

Mary at Over 40 and a Mum to One has written a lovely review for Rachel Lyon‘s latest picture book, Not Enough for Queen Fluff. She’s event pointed out the similarities between Marie Antoinette and our little snobby bunny queen…

Queen Fluff SPREAD2 RGB LR

So what could the picture book, written by Rachel Lyon, have in common with a French queen?  Well Queen Fluff is just the grandest of bunnies, she has it all […] Her subjects are poverty-stricken and can barely feed themselves, let alone provide a banquet fit for a queen.

So they devise a plan which will see Queen Fluff hopping back to her palace of a burrow in no time.  She needs to be taught a lesson. I won’t spoil the story by telling you exactly what they did, but it did make Queen Fluff see the errors of her ways.  She certainly didn’t lose her head over it, but learnt a few valuable lessons.”

Thank your for the lovely review Mary! We’re pleased Monkey enjoyed the story!
