Leo and Mum at Naptime Natter really enjoyed reading Wishker recently by Heather Pindar and illustrated by Sarah Jennings!
‘I really like this story, it delivers an important message but does so in a light hearted and funny way. Leo is 3 and he finds it difficult a lot of the time if we say no to his demands so this book is helping him to realise that sometimes Mummy and Daddy have to say no for a reason, we are not just being mean.
This book gives you plenty to talk about with your little one once it has finished, you could ask them to name all the animals Mirable wishes for, you could count how many clowns and acrobats come to Mirable’s house and you could ask them what they would wish for if they met Wishker the cat.
Leo and I both really enjoy reading Wishker, it is a fun story that sparks your imagination that is great to read any time of the day but we enjoy reading it for story time before bed.’
