Maverick authors and illustrators gathered for the annual Christmas party last Saturday night at the Brass Monkey pub in London. Each had one vote for Book of the Year out of 4 titles shortlisted by Maverick staff Kim, Steve, Aimee and Val.
The winner was announced in great style by Charlie Bullock of Pandora Books…. the fabulously original  Bonkers About Beetroot by Cath Jones and illustrated by Chris Jevons! Sadly, Chris could not be with us on the night but here are some lovely pictures of Cath proudly holding her trophy. And what a well deserved winner too!
