GRANNY MUTTON LIBRARY YARNS!

Children’s author Amanda Brandon will be bringing socks, scarves and sheep fun to Rayleigh Library to kick off World Book Day Week (27 Feb-4 March).

There will be story-telling, crafts and book signing from 10am to 12noon on Saturday February 25 based on Amanda’s farmyard Granny Mutton Yarn series of picture books, plus a chance to see Granny’s famous 13ft long knitted scarf!

Amanda’s latest book A Knit and a Knot features knitting mad Granny Mutton and grandson Little Lionel who becomes a detective to find her missing wool. The first book in the series A Scarf and a Half featured in a former Summer Reading Challenge list and was shortlisted for the Heart of Hawick children’s book award.
