The Four Little Pigs adds a little bit of magic to the well known fairy tale. The Four Little Pigs is an interactive story app and is based upon the published children’s book written by Kimara Nye and illustrated by Marcin Bruchnalski.
Here is a few quotes from the review:
“The Four Little Pigs is a really fun and creative interactive iPad app which brings a new twist to the classic tale of The Three Little Pigs…
…and it is nice that these words are highlighted when read…
…The illustrations used here are wonderful, and I especially like the images of Tom as the fourth pig, looking like a half- boy/ half-pig creature – great fun…

The Fearsome Beastie by Giles Paley-Phillips
“Fantastic vibrant illustrations accompany this rhyming tale of the Beastie that isn’t quite what it appears to be but nevertheless ends up where he ought… It’s a dark tale, in spite of the jokes and classic fairy tale ending, so not one for younger children (say under four years) or those of a more nervous disposition.
Interestingly the author, Giles Paley-Phillips, quotes Roald Dahl as a significant influence and the humour and drama is definitely of his ilk. The Fearsome Beastie is certainly a change from the tamer, more run of the mill kids books you tend to come across.”

Mrs MacCready Was Ever So Greedy by Julie Fulton
“Like an extended limerick, this amusing book with jolly visuals and a surprising ending, kept my sons giggling and saying “yuk!” all the way through.
Lots of great lists of food to talk about and engage with, as well as an underlying lesson in avoiding gluttony! The straightforward and simple pictures as well as the rhythmic narrative would probably make this suitable from two years upwards.
I suspect that it might become a firm favourite in our house.”
