The cost of being famous

posterYo dudes, I’m all by myself today.  Marv’s gone he’s hiding from some pink haired poodle – I don’t know why she’s obsessed with him, I’m the good looking one!  I should think he could easily out run her…but these long, painted nailed pooches can’t half shift when they see a celebrity.  You should see some of the shrines to us in these girls rooms, there’s Dogs of Rock Calendars on the wall, the Dogs of Rock book on the shelf, then posters all over the place.  It’s crazzzzzzyy.

I keep getting texts from Marv asking me to come and help him, but I am sure he’ll be fine.  He loves it really.

Living the dream, eh?

TelegraphblogDogs of Rock: Story of the Band made it into the Telegraph magazine!    Not quite the headlines but check this out…

“One of the most popular books I have ever given my boys”       - Daisy Bridgewater, Daily Telegraph

Not bad eh?  For our first book.  Living the dream – that’s us.  Talking of dreams, I think I’ll just kick back, relax and enjoy the ride!

6th Gig, The Cavern – Liverpool!

6th Gig – Liverpool – The Cavern

I know we say every week that this week’s venue is best…well we mean it today!  The Cavern – home of the Beatles, one of the best known Rock ‘n’ Roll place on Blighty.  We felt as though the Dogs of Rock were stepping into history’s shoes.   In The Cavern the stage is under the arches and the acoustics are fantastic – the sound bounces from the bricks, filling every corner with music.

And how could we come to the Cavern and not play one tribute to The Beatles…or three!  Our entourage loved it!  The Liverpudlians have probably heard it thousands of times but still they loved it.

A-m-a-z-i-n-g night!

Rick here.  Dogs of Rock are in Leicester. Just finished doing rehearsals for tonight’s gig. It is going to be amazing – we have a new line up with a mixture of emotive guitar solos and some immense powerhouse drumming. My paws are already tingling!

We have one of the uni bands supporting us. They’re great guys and are real crowd pleasers. They’ll have all their mates in the crowd, which adds up to an intense atmosphere! I can’t wait! Marv and I love doin’ gigs at uni’s – they are always a laugh!

The Dogs of Rock tour is going from strength to strength and we’re lovin’ every minute of it!

Rock on.

Rockin’ Around the Xmas Tree

xmasrickRick here. Marv’s out, so thought I’d fill you in with the Dogs of Rock. We’re doing a Christmas gig next week in London – some big venue. It’s going to be huge! Bright lights and mixed up Christmas tunes. Imagine ‘I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas’ with a base and some serious drumming! It’s goin’ to be wicked!

Marv’s just trying to write some new tunes to get the crowd screaming…either that or he’s lieing and gone Christmas shopping. I wonder what he’s getting me?

Rock on pups

Rick.
