The Twins Story

“On the day of Princess Lolly’s birthday celebration me and  Tim were enjoying watching the jugglers when they brought the jelly in.”

“Corr it was GLORIOUS, wasn’t it Jim.”

“It sure was Tim.  So we were really looking forward to a wibbly wobbly jelly but…”

“It refused to wobble!  Now when her Highness announced an award for the person who made it wobble, me and Tim thought…”

“We thought we would rock the table.  You know force it to wobble.”

“But that stubborn jelly still wouldn’t wobble.  It’s a shame as we both would have enjoyed those chocolate sovreigns!”

Account of the Oldest Guest

“Well I remember it like it was yesterday…I think.  Back in the old day when I was a nipper I used to help in the Royal kitchens.  We used to make jelly by the ton but i’ll tell you what – it never talked back.

It’s the youngsters of today.  Have no respect.  Even the jelly is refusing to do the one thing jelly is supposed to do.  It is all this rebelling against the norm.

So I did what all rule abiding OAPs would do – I prodded it with my walking stick.

It didn’t work.  Wouldn’t have happened it my day – jelly’s had more respect!”

The Culprit

Princess Lolly’s 89th birthday party was a date on everyone’s calendar and with hundreds of people invited it was set to be a huge event.

However after a main course of compliant foods, the guests were looking forward to the cook’s special…The Birthday Jelly.

It was carried in between two people and everyone agreed it was GLORIOUS!  That is until it spoke.

Yes that’s right readers – the jelly spoke.  ”I don’t want to be eaten” was what the jelly announced to a room full of amazed guests.  Princess Lolly was furious and at once decreed that anyone who could make the jelly wobble would get 1001 chocolate sovereigns!

We will be hearing the accounts of those that tried over the coming weeks.
