Peggie’s Pirate Party

Written by: Peggie Sue

peggiehandoutAhoy! The book reading dates are set.  14th April in Watford and 17th at Brighton.  I’ll be setting sale for the nearest harbours…Well I may have to catch a train to get to Watford!

It is going to swashbuckling fun with pirate hats and colouring-in.  It’s going to be like I am having my own little pirate party.

So get out your stripey stocking and I will see you there.

Keep a lookout for Pirate Day!

peggiesueblogreadingAhoy there landlubbers – Peggie Sue here! Good news! In mid-April I’ll be abandoning the ship (only temporarily) to go to my very own book reading. But more on that closer to the time (but keep an eye on the events page) ! It will be my own little holiday away from the pirates.

They’re being really grouchy at the moment…well grouchier than normal! I think it’s the weather but it will be spring soon and then summer. The summer is fantastic on the sea, as it is hot but with gentle cool breezes (though not brilliant if you want to get somewhere fast).

Wishing for Spring and the book reading!

We’ve reached the Caribbean!

Written by: Peggie Sue

carribeanPhew…what a journey! But we’re here now. We sailed stormy seas and then got stuck on calm waters – not a breath of wind. Now though I am sunbathing on a beach in the Caribbean with palm trees nearby.

We’re all going to play some volleyball later but at the moment I’m quite happy just soaking in the sun!

Oh it’s a pirate’s life for me!

Automated Blog

This is an automated blog from Peggie Sue (written on the 15.1.10 – Internet cafe off the coast of Ireland) :

Hi Everyone – I’m afraid it’s a very short blog from me today, as I am still sailing towards the Caribbean and there isn’t any internet in the middle of the sea! I will hopefully post next week and tell you how our trip is going! Let’s hope we don’t hit any stormy seas!

First post of the New Year from Peggie

mapHappy New Year landlubbers!

It’s been really cold out on the open sea. When we sail close to land we can see all of the snow that has fallen. We don’t tend to get snow at sea because of the salt, but it’s certainly cold enough! A friend of mine once told me that sometimes even the sea freezes over…not all of it though you understand. What a sight that would be!

I think now that Christmas is over; the pirates may decide to sail to warmer climates – perhaps the Caribbean…pirates are quite famous there!

Have fun in the snow.

Christmas day on a pirate ship!

Written by: Peggie Sue

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!

It’s Christmas day and we’re just about to sit down to Christmas lunch! Pirates are festive after all! They’ve been cooking all morning (though it is a bit worrying as to what they are cooking!).

We all got up really really early this morning and opened our stockings (the pirates were so excited!). We’re moored up in a harbour, so Father Christmas didn’t have quite so far to get to us! We left him a mug of grog, as we didn’t have any sherry and the reindeer got some ‘hardtack’ (or sea biscuits to you landlubbers).

Wishing you a very merry Christmas!!!

A Pirate’s Christmas

Written by: Peggie Sue

xmas

Ahoy me hearties! I’ve been decorating the mast with baubles and tinsel ready for Christmas. The other pirates say that it makes the ship look far too inviting but they’re not going to stop my fun! Little do they know that I am giving them all my book, Peggie Sue Can’t find the Loo.  I don’t envy Santa Claus putting their pressies in their stockings,  (I hope he doesn’t mind their smelliness!).

I wonder what the pirates will be getting me…I hope it isn’t loo roll again. I’ll never live it down!

Ahoy!

blogpicDear Bloggers

Ahoy there me hearties! Welcome aboard the good ship Maverick, where landlubbers can find us on the World Wide Waters.

*Cough* *cough* Sorry I was forgetting that not all of us speak Pirate. My name is Peggie Sue and I am the star of Peggie Sue Can’t Find the Loo – now although I am not overly keen on the world knowing about the desperate state I was in, it makes good reading!

I have been asked by Maverick to write this blog so all you wannabe pirates out there can find out more!

I’ve been told that people can contact me now by email (a bit like a message in a bottle). My address is peggiesue@maverickbooks.co.uk – I would love to hear from seafarers and landlubbers alike!
Better go, as it’s my turn to scrub the deck.

Lots of love

Peggie Sue x
