5th Gig, The Boardwalk (or The Boredwalk!) – Sheffield

Woah we made it onto the front of the Rolling Bone this week. The Dogs of Rock are moving up the ladder!

Anyways we’re in Sheffield this week at the Boardwalk. Gig was great. Crowd were crazy. Did a bit of crowd surfing – immense! We ripped through some of the classics plus a brand new cover song- the fans lapped that up. Then between songs there was a lot of banter with the crowd. We told some tales…like when Rick got in the same lift as Meat Loaf. You know the sort of stuff. Some of it is in our book ‘Story of the Band’ (that comes out in a few weeks!).

2nd Gig, Venue: Cambridge Corn Exchange

Having recovered from New Year, we got on our tour bus and headed for Cambridge (the home of punting!). It took us a long time to get here because of the snow! Yep – we’ve had lots of snow! Our manager wanted to call it off, but we’re the Dogs of Rock, we were not going to let a bit of snow stop us from playing.

So we got to the venue – set up the kit and waited for the fans to file in. Not everyone could come, so numbers were a bit sparse. So Rick and I sat on the edge of the stage and played some acoustic. The fans lapped it up and joined in with some of the vocals. The atmosphere was special.

Can’t wait until our next gig!
