Phew….Been so busy recently, we’ve been doing lots and lots of readings.  Since being on TV it seems that we’re in high demand.

Last week we did two book readings for Super Magic Lightning Boy, one at Waterstones George St and the other at Waterstones Ocean Terminal.  It was so much fun and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves.  We’ve got more coming soon!  These are: 
 
Friday 4th March: Fair Isle Primary School & Dunbar Primary School
 
Sunday 6th March: Waterstones Kirkcaldy
 
Friday 11th March: Waterstones Stirling & Waterstones Newton Mearns 

I think I may need to work on my superhero speed so that I can do lots and lots.

Did you see us?  We were on the TV – my creator Scott and the real Jake.   We were on ITV’s Daybreak just at the time when people watch before going to school.  There must have been squillons of people watching.

 It was so exciting – I have been showing it to all my friends!  I recorded it and everything!   We were also in loads of newspapers.  Super Magic Lightning Boy is now famous – I wish we had been able to bring Dixie to be on the TV but she said she would rather stay at home and guard it from baddies.

Hello!  It’s been awhile since I’ve written a blog.  We’ve had so much going on.  We had the book launch and then after that we’ve been planning lots of events.  In fact I have a book reading later today at Braidbar Primary in Giffnock.   I am really looking forward to it!  Though I am not sure they will allow Dixie into the school.

Scott’s going to be reading the book to everyone and then there’s going to be lots of colouring in – I can’t wait.

Better go, don’t want to be late!

This week we went on the best adventure of all. We all went on a trip to the shops, especially to the book shop and guess what we saw?? SUPER MAGIC LIGHTNING BOY has been released and is on the shelves!!
 
There was loads of people buying it and it was soooooooooooo cool to see it in the shops. In fact, i’m sure i saw my Dad cry with happiness. Grown ups are so weird.
 
Well, what are you waiting for, go and buy it so we can have loads more adventures together!

We’re just got back from holiday, so Super Magic Lightning Boy is back!  I wasn’t allowed to take Dixie, but Dixie wanted to stay behind to guard the house.  Our neighbour feeds her while we’re away and she always feeds Dixie far too much.  When we got home Dixie Thunderpaws was huge! 

So now Dixie has to go on a diet, but not to worry with all our superhero quests it won’t be long until Dixie is back to her normal self!

Hello fellow superheroes! Isn’t summer great? You can spend loads of time in the garden keeping all the baddies away!
 
Me and Dixie were watching Dad put new grass down. He was busy digging and piling old mud into a box ready for the tip when suddenly – OH NO! In the box we noticed Sanchez the worm trapped! Sanchez is a superhero friend of ours who helps in the garden.
 
Dixie distracted Dad by jumping on his new grass while i ran and heaved Sanchez out before he was lost for good. He was very grateful and glad he didn’t get squashed at the tip!!

Hello fellow super heroes! We had another super adventure this week! It was my annoying wee sister Amy’s birthday this week and we had a big party in the garden. Mum and Nanny decorated the house and garden while Dad and Grandpa made lots of tasty food.

It was a nice day and everyone was hoping that it wouldn’t rain when – UH OH! We all looked up and there it was – the biggest, darkest rain cloud in the world! It had a menacing grin and chuckled away to itself as it moved slowly towards us.

Super Magic Lightning Boy to the rescue!! Dixie and I jumped right to it! We flew straight up, fighting hard against the cloud as he tried to blow us away! We nipped round behind him and pulled with all our might, heaving the floating pest away from our garden until he was over a field! He was so angry he rained as hard as he could, causing big muddy puddles in the field. Our garden stayed nice and dry for the rest of the day and we all had a lovely time.

Hi Super fans!

Me and Dixie had a big adventure this week. My Dad was out digging his vegetable patch and doing boring grown up things. So we were round the corner searching around for any baddies when we were suddenly attacked by a giant snail! Dixie jumped right to it and tried to chase it away but she got stuck in the snail’s sticky, squelchy trail and couldn’t move! I had to think fast as its big slimy body was slithering towards me and I could see its drooling mouth!! I remembered that Dad put salt out to keep pests off his vegetables so I ran inside and found Mum’s salt shaker. As soon as the snail saw the salt it squealed and dashed over the fence, never to be seen again.

Poor Dixie’s paws needed washed though! Tune in for more adventures of Super Magic Lightning Boy!

Hi we’re new! My name is Jake and this is my pet cat Dixie.

We love being superheroes and fighting all the baddies in our garden and in our house. In my book we come across an evil apple tree and a huge spider! Maybe you could write to me and tell me what kind of hero you like to be and what baddies you meet.
