Here’s another ‘Big Idea’ blog and this time I tried gardening.
I noticed that lots of people in my road just didn’t have the time to prune, trim and mow their gardens. Life is so busy nowadays. So I thought I would start a gardening service.
Being bendy and stretchy is very useful when gardening. It means I can reach up high to water the hanging baskets and then be watering the flower beds at the same time.
I am slowly making my way down the road and helping people in their gardens if they want me to. It is such good fun and a great way to spend time outdoors!
Just got back from my first job since what happened in my book Grandma Bendy.
I had noticed how there seems to be litter everywhere and the poor bin men seemed to be struggling to cope. All the bins had been knocked over or moved…
So anyway I got up really really early (it was still dark) and set about putting the dustbins back in the right place and putting any rubbish back in them. I stretched and twisted, getting every little scrap of rubbish.
By the time the dustbin lorry came, the road was all pristine and the dustbin men could easily empty all the bins. We wished each other good morning and then they headed off to do the rest of the town.
Made me feel really good knowing that I’d helped.
Those of you that have read my children’s book Grandma Bendy (named after me!) you will know about my big idea.
After a life of crime I decided to start using my bendiness for the better. I want to be able to help people and so I thought I would tell you all about it in my blog.
So keep an eye out for my blogs!
